Texas Thespians Honor Troupe distinction recognizes troupes for the tremendous work they do, both on and off stage, in their school and communities. Carver High School Theatre attended the Texas State Thespian Festival November 21-23, 2019. Yasaar Ellis served his second term as a State Thespian Officer (STO) which is the student governing board for Texas Thespians, and Cody Dixon was elected as a STO for the upcoming year. Francean Houngbo, junior theatre student and playwright, was the Playworks winner with her play The Waiting Room. Jazmyne received a scholarship from Texas Thespians & Jordan received a scholarship for her all state performance for an AXS experience this summer.

2013 Texas Thespian Festival- Dallas, TX
Carver High School Theatre attended the Texas State Thespian Festival on November 21-23, 2013. The Troupe performed their play, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, to a crowd of approximately 200 fellow thespians. Nyles Washington was one of 34 students to receive a $1000 Thespian Scholarship from Texas Thespians. Nyles Washington also served on the Student State Board which is the student governing board for Texas Thespians. Only twelve students from the State of Texas are chosen to be on the board. This year,

Texas Thespians Honor Troupe distinction recognizes troupes for the tremendous work they do, both on and off stage, in their school and communities. Yasaar Ellis served his second term as a State Thespian Officer (STO) which is the student governing board for Texas Thespians, and Cody Dixon was elected as a STO for the upcoming year. Francean Houngbo, junior theatre student and playwright, was the Playworks winner with her play The Waiting Room. In addition, Armani Brown, Jazmyne Charles, Jordan Johnson & Kaleb Womack performed in the in the All State Closing Ceremony performance with Broadway actress Annaleigh Ashford. Jazmyne received a scholarship from Texas Thespians & Jordan received a scholarship for her all state performance for an AXS experience this summer.

In addition, four students (Bishop Pearsall, Brianna Rodriguez, Aziza Robinson & Jayla Rhodes) performed in the cast and crew in the All State Show, Big Fish, for over 6,000 thespians.
This year at the Texas Thespian Hall of Fame reception, Ms. Jones was awarded with the 2015 Above and Beyond Award for her service to Texas Thespians.

Carver High School Theatre attended the Texas State Thespian Festival November 20-22, 2014. The Troupe had the honor of performing, Memphis the Musical, twice for the entire festival delegation. 2013 Texas Thespian Festival- Dallas, TX
Carver High School Theatre attended the Texas State Thespian Festival on November 21-23, 2013. The Troupe performed their play, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, to a crowd of approximately 200 fellow thespians. Nyles Washington was one of 34 students to receive a $1000 Thespian Scholarship from Texas Thespians. Nyles Washington also served on the Student State Board which is the student governing board for Texas Thespians. Only twelve students from the State of Texas are chosen to be on the board. This year,
